Garo: The Animation - S01

The Valiante Kingdom has spent seventeen years hunting down those accused of witchcraft, unaware that their targets are actually humanity's hidden guardians. These warriors-the Makai Knights and Alchemists-defend people from Horrors, demons that prey on souls burdened by sorrow and suffering. Among them is Leon Luis, a 17-year-old Makai Knight who wields the legendary Golden Knight Garo armor, inherited from his late mother. Despite his power, Leon is consumed by hatred over her death at the kingdom's hands. His father, German-known as Zoro the Shadow Cutting Knight-has been training him but worries about his resolve. When German is called to investigate a surge of Horrors in the capital, he takes Leon along, hoping to strengthen his discipline. Meanwhile, Prince Alfonso San Valiante searches for a way to counter the Horror threat, only to be betrayed and exiled. Determined to reclaim his throne, he seeks allies and strength, eventually crossing paths with Leon. Their meeting will alter both their destinies forever.
