Dragonaut: The Resonance - S01

Twenty years before the story begins, an asteroid on a collision course with Earth destroys Pluto. The impact leaves the asteroid, now called Thanatos, temporarily motionless. To prevent Earth’s destruction, the International Solarsystem Development Agency (ISDA) launches the "D-Project" after discovering a dragon egg deep in the ocean. Their goal is to develop the "Dragonaut," a weapon designed to destroy the asteroid when the time comes. But they soon realize the asteroid isn’t their only problem-deadly dragon-like creatures, intent on causing destruction, begin appearing on Earth. Jin Kamishina, an isolated 18-year-old still grieving the loss of his family in a shuttle accident two years earlier, witnesses one of these creatures commit a murder. Drawn into the mystery of the dragons, he becomes the chosen pilot of the Dragonaut. Along the way, he meets Toa, a mysterious girl who saves him from falling to his death during an attack. As they uncover more about the dragons, they face new allies and enemies while growing closer to each other.
