Disgaea - S01

An angel shows up in Hell, a demon lord wakes from his long sleep, and penguins are suddenly everywhere-what’s happening? Flonne, an angel still learning the ropes of assassination, is sent to take down the demon Overlord. But instead of finishing her mission, she accidentally rouses Laharl, the Netherworld’s heir, from his two-year nap. Now, the unlikely trio-Laharl, the bumbling Flonne, and his scheming vassal Etna, along with her army of penguin-suited explosive minions-must piece the Netherworld back together. Adapted from "Disgaea: Hour of Darkness", "Makai Senki Disgaea" tracks Laharl’s quest to crush the demon uprising, take his rightful throne, and wipe out anyone who opposes him. Or maybe he’ll let them tag along if they insist. After all, he’s a demon lord-there’s no chance he’d ever show something as weak as kindness or love… right?
