The next day, those same creatures attack him in the real world-until Jessica Clayborn and Aruto Fushibe intervene, insisting Ryuuhei is their newest member. Under pressure from the looming danger, Jessica tells a bewildered Ryuuhei to become a "knocker-up," someone who can fight the monsters invading from the dream world.
