Butareba -The Story of a Man Turned Into a Pig- - S01

A self-important scientist wakes up in a filthy pigpen, disoriented and unable to recall anything beyond eating raw pig liver and passing out in the subway. To his shock, he discovers he has somehow become a pig-and now finds himself in an unfamiliar fantasy world. As he grapples with this absurd situation, a girl named Jess helps him. She is a Yesma, a servant class marked by telepathic powers and silver collars, often treated with scorn. Though his thoughts about her are far from noble, Jess still goes out of her way to assist him. Moved by her kindness, the pig vows to repay her however he can in his current form. But Jess’ goodwill doesn’t shield her from the discrimination the Yesmas endure, and the pig grows uneasy, sensing she may be in deeper peril than she realizes. His first instinct is to seek out the royal capital and plead with the king to restore his humanity-yet he can’t bring himself to abandon the girl who saved him without a second thought.
