Bungo and Alchemist -Gears of Judgement- - S01

Famous writers from across history are mysteriously reborn by an enigmatic force called the Alchemist. Their souls are trapped in a vast library, where the Alchemist commands them to enter books and cleanse the pages of monstrous creatures known as Taints. As they carry out this task, they must also save and recruit other authors imprisoned within the stories they once wrote. Though the writers gain powerful new forms for this mission, some retain fragments of their old identities, while others barely recall their pasts or their own works. Despite the endless nature of their task, they press on, driven by the hope of unraveling the mystery behind their resurrection-and the unanswered questions that plagued their former lives.
