Blue Period - S01

Yatora Yaguchi is a second-year high school student who excels academically but has no real passion in life. Though he works hard to keep his grades up and spends time with his similarly aimless friends, neither of these things brings him satisfaction-he just goes through the motions, unsure of what he truly wants. One day, while lost in thought, he gazes at the striking view of Shibuya and feels a sudden urge to capture the moment. With no other way to express himself, he picks up a paintbrush and tries to put his emotions onto canvas. When others praise his work, the unexpected sense of fulfillment pushes him toward an ambitious goal: getting into the ultra-competitive Tokyo University of the Arts, where only one in two hundred applicants is accepted. But the path ahead is far from easy. Surrounded by naturally gifted artists, lacking formal training, and facing skepticism from his parents, Yatora must prove that raw determination can overcome his inexperience. To claim one of the five coveted spots in his chosen program, he’ll have to push himself harder than ever before.
