Yuu Koito loves the idea of romance-the grand confessions in shoujo manga, the heartfelt lyrics of love songs-but when a classmate confesses to her at their junior high graduation, she feels nothing. The moment she’s waited for leaves her empty, and she realizes she understands love in theory but can’t actually feel it. Now in high school, Yuu is still unsure how to respond to her admirer when she witnesses the student council president, Touko Nanami, gracefully turning down someone else’s confession. Impressed by Touko’s poise, Yuu asks for advice-only for Touko to confess to her instead. Caught off guard, Yuu is drawn into Touko’s orbit, unaware that this unexpected relationship might finally help her discover the feelings she’s been missing.
