Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad - S01

Fourteen-year-old Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka is a directionless kid with no real ambitions-until he rescues a peculiar dog named Beck from some neighborhood bullies. The dog belongs to Ryuusuke "Ray" Minami, a sixteen-year-old aspiring guitarist who once played in a well-known rock band. When Koyuki runs into Ray again at a diner, Ray takes him to his old band’s hangout and impresses him with his incredible guitar playing. Drawn into the allure of Western rock music, Koyuki picks up the guitar himself and joins Ray in chasing his dream of forming the ultimate rock band. With Ray’s younger sister Maho and a handful of others, they start a group called BECK. The story follows their journey as they navigate the highs and lows of trying to make it big in Japan’s rock scene.
