A country singer on his flight is killed, and as he steps off the plane, he witnesses the chaotic aftermath while meeting his new partner, Armitage, a tough and abrasive cop. Soon, more women are murdered, and the investigation uncovers a disturbing secret: there’s a hidden line of robots called "thirds," and someone is systematically hunting them down. As missing Thirds pile up, Armitage’s relentless pursuit of the killer leads her to reveal her own shocking truth-she is a Third herself.
