Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day - S01

Jinta Yadomi lives a quiet, withdrawn life, skipping school and passing the time with video games. One sweltering summer day, his childhood friend Meiko "Menma" Honma suddenly appears, nagging him about a wish he once promised but forgot. He ignores her, much to her frustration, but it doesn’t bother him-Menma died years ago. At first, Jinta writes it off as a heat-induced hallucination, but he soon realizes the girl before him is truly Menma’s ghost. Her death had scattered their tight-knit group of friends, but now they reunite to fulfill her final request and put her spirit to rest. As they confront their shared grief and regrets, they must decide if they can finally let go-not just for Menma’s sake, but for their own.
