Anima Yell! - S01

Kohane Hatoya’s biggest strength is also her weakness-she’ll go to any lengths to help others. Her passion for lending a hand sparks when she first sees cheerleading in middle school. Now in high school, her excitement hasn’t faded, and she’s determined to form her own cheerleading squad. Her best friend, Uki Sawatari, supports her, though she often has to bail Kohane out of scrapes. But there’s a catch: Kohane knows nothing about cheerleading. She doesn’t understand the moves, the outfits, or how to perform. Worse, she’s been afraid of heights since she was little, and cheerleading involves plenty of high-flying stunts-especially for someone her size. Then there’s Hizume Arima, a former cheerleader trying to leave that life behind. Too bad for Hizume-Kohane recognizes her and won’t take no for an answer. She’ll do whatever it takes to get Hizume to lead the squad, even if it means confronting her own fears.
