ALL OUT!! - S01

Rugby is a sport where anyone can shine when they have the ball. The rules are straightforward: the player carrying the ball must cross the goalposts while evading the opposing team, who can use full force to stop them. But they can pass to a teammate behind them or kick the ball before being tackled. Unlike most sports, the game keeps going even if the ball carrier is brought down. Kenji Gion, a short but fiery high school freshman at Kanagawa High, meets the tall, reserved Sumiaki Iwashimizu right after the opening ceremony. The two are invited to check out the rugby club. Watching a match, Gion sees that while size helps, there’s a place for players of all builds. Convinced he can thrive despite his height, he joins-though Iwashimizu refuses at first. Gion won’t take no for an answer and pulls him back into the game. Their training grows fierce as they set their sights on Hanazono, the national high school rugby championship.
