Sora Kurumatani has always loved basketball, but his short height has made the game an uphill battle. Even so, he refuses to let his size hold him back, pushing himself through relentless practice and sheer determination. Hoping to fulfill his mother’s wishes, Sora enrolls at Kuzuryuu High School, eager to join the basketball club and compete in tournaments. But when he arrives, he’s dismayed to find the boys’ team is little more than a hangout for delinquents who couldn’t care less about the sport. Even the Hanazono brothers, Chiaki and Momoharu-once passionate players-have lost their drive. Unwilling to give up, Sora challenges the team to a match, dazzling them with his speed and agility. Though they start off indifferent, his skill, hard work, and unwavering love for basketball slowly begin to reignite the spark the boys thought they’d lost.
