Uncle from Another World

After a deadly truck accident, Takafumi Takaoka’s uncle, Yousuke "Ojisan" Shibazaki, spends 17 years in a coma. When he wakes up, he starts speaking a strange language and insists he was sent to a magical realm called Gran Bahamal. Takafumi writes it off as delusional rambling-until Ojisan chants a spell and makes a cup of water float. Realizing the potential, they start a YouTube channel to share his newfound magic. Now, Takafumi must catch Ojisan up on everything he missed, from modern tech and internet culture to the crushing outcome of the ’90s console wars-a bitter pill for a die-hard SEGA fan. Combining Ojisan’s otherworldly wisdom with Takafumi’s guidance, they navigate the chaos of online fame, dealing with trolls and growing their channel. Their unusual journey is far from ordinary.
