Trinity Blood

After the devastation of Armageddon, humanity struggles to survive against a new threat-vampires. The endless conflict has divided the world into rival factions. The vampires, known as Methuselah, align with the New Human Empire, while humans-called Terrans by their enemies-form the Vatican Papal State. Radical groups like the Rosenkreuz Order push to reignite all-out war, even as both sides try to avoid open confrontation. To counter these threats, the Vatican establishes the AX unit, overseen by Cardinal Caterina Sforza. Its agents investigate vampire-related incidents, hoping to someday broker peace between Terrans and Methuselah. Among them is Abel Nightroad, a kind but scatterbrained priest who transforms into a ruthless vampire hunter in battle. His partner, Sister Esther Blanchett, is a courageous yet troubled nun burdened by her tragic past. As Abel and Esther grow closer, they uncover hints of a hidden conspiracy, but their journey is fraught with danger-and painful memories they may no longer be able to escape.
