Train to the End of the World - S01

The launch of 7G Network technology was supposed to bring incredible progress, but instead, it threw Japan into disarray. The landscape shifted unpredictably, people began undergoing strange mutations, and everyday life was rewritten by new, unknown rules. In the town of Agano, one of the last surviving settlements, everyone over the age of 21 has turned into animals. Shizuru Chikura, a high school student from Agano, is determined to find her missing friend, Youka Nakatomi. When she spots a newspaper photo suggesting Youka might be in Ikebukuro, Shizuru prepares to leave-but with public transportation gone, her choices are slim. Luckily, Tairo Zenjirou, the town's only remaining human adult and a forgetful old train conductor, steps in to teach her how to operate an abandoned train. With her path clear, Shizuru sets off on her journey. But as she departs, her classmates-Nadeshiko Hoshi, Reimi Kuga, and Akira Shinonome-suddenly decide to join her. What begins as a simple trip could lead them into dangers far worse than anything they've faced in Agano.
