Long ago, savage creatures called Oni slaughtered humans and spread chaos purely for their own amusement. A lone warrior named Momotarou stood against these monstrous, nearly unstoppable foes, but the battle between them was far from over. Thousands of years later, hotheaded gun lover Shiki Ichinose lives an easygoing life-until he gets kicked out of school, and everything turns upside down. After a sudden attack by a mysterious man, Shiki is saved by his adoptive father, Tsuyoshi. As they escape, Tsuyoshi reveals the truth: Shiki is a descendant of the Oni, while both Tsuyoshi and their attacker belong to the Momotarou bloodline. The two Momotarou warriors fight brutally, and Tsuyoshi gives his life to protect Shiki. Overcome with grief, Shiki’s Oni heritage awakens, granting him incredible power at the price of losing control. Though their enemy escapes, Shiki catches the attention of Naito Mudano, an Oni instructor at Rasetsu Academy. Now, under Mudano’s tutelage, Shiki must learn to master his Oni blood-or he’ll never have the chance to avenge his father.
