The Stranger by the Shore

Shun Hashimoto is a gay writer in Okinawa, trying to make a name for himself after his parents cut ties with him when he came out. Mio Chibana is a quiet high school student with no family, who often lingers by the ocean. They cross paths one day on the beach, and Shun is immediately drawn to him. As time passes, the two grow closer-until Mio abruptly tells Shun he has to move to the mainland. Three years later, Mio, now twenty, returns to Okinawa to confess his feelings for Shun. But Shun’s life has shifted in those years, leaving him uncertain-can he open his heart to Mio and take that step forward?
