The Imaginary

Amanda’s bright imagination brings Rudger to life-an imaginary friend only she can see and hear. They share countless adventures in the attic above her mother’s bookshop, bound by three promises: never vanish, always keep each other safe, and never shed a tear. But their world is shaken when a strange man named Mr. Bunting arrives, trailed by a ghostly girl only they can see. He’s a hunter of imaginary friends, determined to steal them away from children. After a failed attempt to catch Rudger, Amanda is tragically killed in a car accident. Left alone, Rudger must now evade Mr. Bunting’s relentless pursuit while facing another threat: if an imaginary friend is forgotten, they fade from existence entirely.
