The Great Passage

Kouhei Araki, a longtime editor in Genbu Publishing's dictionary division, prepares to retire so he can focus on caring for his sick wife. Before stepping down, he needs to find someone to take over his current project-a new dictionary titled "The Great Passage". But the work demands immense patience, time, and devotion, and he struggles to find a qualified successor. Mitsuya Majime works in Genbu's sales department, though his awkwardness and poor social skills make it hard for him to navigate everyday interactions. Despite this, he has a deep passion for words, shaped by his love of reading and meticulous nature. Recognizing these qualities, Araki recruits Majime to join the dictionary team. Though hesitant about his own abilities and whether he'll fit in with his new colleagues, Majime accepts the role. As they delve into the endless world of words, "The Great Passage" becomes the bond that unites them.
