The Eccentric Family

After discovering the truth about their father’s death, the four Shimogamo brothers settle back into their lives, each striving to honor his legacy in their own way. Yaichirou, the eldest, focuses on reclaiming his role as the future Trick Magister by reviving the beloved shogi tournament. Yajirou works to regain his lost shapeshifting powers, while the youngest, Yashirou, quietly carries on at the family factory. Yasaburou, the third son, embraces his inherited "fool’s blood," chasing after the elusive tsuchinoko and stirring up mischief wherever he goes. But trouble looms when Nidaime, the long-absent son of their tengu mentor Professor Akadama, resurfaces. Holding a deep resentment toward both his father and his father’s protégé, Benten, Nidaime’s arrival throws loyalties into doubt. Yasaburou must rely on his tanuki cunning to navigate the growing tensions, hoping to prevent a full-blown conflict that could shatter the fragile peace between humans, tengu, and tanuki-before chaos takes over.
