The Deer King

Ten years ago, the Zol Empire invaded and absorbed the neighboring lands of Aquafa, though they failed to take Fire Horse Village due to an outbreak of the deadly Black Wolf Fever. Since then, the disease was thought to be gone. Van Gansa, a prisoner of war, works under forced labor in a Zol-controlled salt mine. When a pack of ghostly wolves attacks the mine, only Van and a young girl named Yuna survive after being bitten. Authorities later confirm the wolves carried Black Wolf Fever, which killed the other workers and guards. Seeking freedom, Van and Yuna settle in a quiet farming village. But unknown to him, he’s being hunted-some want his blood as a cure for the disease, while others will do anything to prevent that. As the threat grows, Van becomes entangled in a crisis that could consume not just his nation, but others as well.
