Tetsujin 28: Morning Moon of Midday

This film adaptation of Yokoyama Mitsuteru's manga follows the brilliant young detective Kaneda Shotaro and his giant robot, Tetsujin 28, in a Tokyo still recovering from the aftermath of World War II. Shotaro's long-lost brother suddenly reappears, now a trained pilot for Tetsujin, the military robot Japan developed during the war. But with the conflict over, he finds himself adrift in a peaceful society. Meanwhile, "Destruction Bombs" begin surfacing across Tokyo-deadly weapons designed by Professor Kaneda, Shotaro's father and the creator of Tetsujin 28, meant to defend the homeland. If these bombs detonate, the city will be utterly destroyed.
