Tales of the Abyss

In the world of Auldrant, people live by the Score-ancient prophecies that dictate their future. Believed to be absolute fate, these predictions shape every life, even when they lead to violence and suffering. The nations of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and Malkuth wage war, using the Fonic Arts, a form of magic, in pursuit of the utopia foretold by the Score. Luke von Fabre, confined to his manor since a childhood kidnapping robbed him of his memories, spends his days practicing swordsmanship. When a woman named Tear tries to kill his master, Luke intervenes, and their fight sends them both to a faraway land. What begins as a journey home soon becomes a struggle that could either liberate the world from the Score’s grip or bring about its ruin.
