On her way to a new middle school, Momoka Sonokawa encounters a molester on the train-only to be saved by a girl carrying two pistols. The rescuer turns out to be Miou Ootori, Momoka's upperclassman and president of Aogiri Academy's Survival Game Club, or "Sabage-bu" for short. Impressed by Momoka's natural skill with a gun, Miou tries to recruit her, but Momoka firmly refuses. Yet somehow, she still ends up joining the club. Sabage-bu is far from ordinary. Its members are socially awkward to the point of unsettling Momoka, with personalities ranging from obsessive to outright delusional. They have no qualms about wearing ghillie suits in public or bungee jumping off the school roof. Now stuck with this group of survival game fanatics, Momoka-who prides herself on being perfectly normal-must find a way to adapt to her bizarre new school life.
