A few years ago, a massive meteorite crashed into Earth. Inside, researchers found a strange capsule thought to belong to aliens-dubbed the "black box." An international group, "Project BB," was formed to study it. Eight boys, including Manabu Yoshimura, attend International Academy, a school near Project BB's headquarters. Their teacher, Toukichi Hashiba, lures them into an experiment with the promise of class credit. The plan is simple: enter the meteorite's eight empty chambers. Hashiba believes the meteorite reacts to powerful human thoughts, so he tells them to focus on imagining an impressive giant robot. If they do, something extraordinary might occur... Then, without warning, a massive spaceship appears in the sky. A 3D projection of an alien named Wercury introduces himself, claiming to be from the planet Prokimasi. He demands the meteorite, which he calls the "Choshin people's relic," threatening war if Earth refuses. As the boys reel from this sudden turn, the meteorite responds to their thoughts-transforming into a towering robot. But when the Prokimasi forces attack, the boys struggle to unite their wills, making it hard for the robot, which Hashiba names "Gakusaver," to fight effectively. With Earth at stake, can Manabu and his friends synchronize their minds in time to defend their planet-and the meteorite-from the Prokimasi invasion?
