SHIROBAKO

At Kaminoyama High School, five close friends-Aoi Miyamori, Ema Yasuhara, Midori Imai, Shizuka Sakaki, and Misa Toudou-bonded over their shared love of anime and started an animation club. After creating their first amateur anime and presenting it at the school festival, they promised to work in the industry someday, hoping to reunite and make a professional show together. Two and a half years later, Aoi and Ema have secured jobs at the prestigious Musashino Animation. But the others struggle to break into their desired fields: Shizuka can't catch a break as a voice actor, Misa designs 3D car models in a stable but unfulfilling job, and Midori studies at university while chasing her dream of becoming a writer. As they navigate setbacks and detours, the five learn that success isn't straightforward-but with persistence and a little creative flair, their dreams might still come true.
