Shakugan no Shana: The Movie

Crimson Denizens and Rinne, creatures from another world, feed on the most valuable parts of human existence. To maintain the world's fragile balance, warriors called Flame Hazes hunt them down. Yuuji Sakai knows nothing about this hidden conflict. His day begins normally, just another trip to school-until time freezes around him, leaving him the only one still moving. As a Rinne starts consuming the souls of those frozen nearby, it turns toward Yuuji. Before it can strike, a Flame Haze with fiery red hair and a katana saves him. After repairing the damage, the Flame Haze explains why Yuuji wasn’t frozen like the others: he’s now a Torch, a fading remnant of a person who has already died. Worse yet, he’s a Mystes, a Torch carrying a mysterious treasure that a Crimson Denizen will try to steal before his flame burns out. With his protector now watching over him, Yuuji accepts his fate and decides to make the most of the time he has left.
