Shabake

In Edo-period Japan, Ichitarou, the frail young heir to a prosperous apothecary, has spent most of his life confined to his room due to his poor health. When rumors about his condition begin to spread, his grandfather prays for divine protection, summoning two guardian spirits, Sasuke and Nikichi, to watch over the boy for life. As he grows older, Ichitarou starts venturing out more, eager to be useful despite warnings to rest. One evening, he slips away without his guardians and stays out late. On his way home, a bloodied man suddenly chases him. Ichitarou narrowly escapes, only to stumble upon a gruesome murder scene. The next day, news of the murder spreads, but something doesn't add up-the victim's fatal wound doesn't match what Ichitarou witnessed. With the killer still loose, he quietly gathers clues from both humans and spirits, piecing together the strange details of the case. His investigation might just uncover the truth behind the crime.
