Science Ninja Team Gatchaman - S02

Two years after Galactor's defeat and Condor Joe's presumed death, a cruise ship is attacked by Leader X, leaving almost no survivors. Among the few who escape is a young girl, who is captured by X and transformed into the strange, deep-voiced villainess Gel Sadra. Despite her adult appearance, Gel Sadra often acts like a child, prone to fits of immaturity. As Galactor resurfaces, the Science Ninja Team reassembles, with a suspicious man named Hawk Getz taking Joe's place. It soon comes out that Getz is actually a Galactor spy who murdered the real Getz meant to join the team-only to be killed himself by a mysterious feather shuriken. After subtle hints in the first three episodes, Joe unexpectedly returns in the fourth, having somehow survived his fatal wounds from the first series. He rejoins the team, and it’s later revealed that an ex-Galactor scientist saved him at the last moment, augmenting his body with cybernetics. Later, the team meets Dr. Pandora, a scientist who lost her husband and daughter in the cruise ship attack. Unaware of the truth, she doesn’t realize her daughter Sammie survived-and is now Gel Sadra.
