"Sailor Stars," like the "R" season, is split into two distinct story arcs. The first part ties up loose ends from the "SuperS" season and brings back the Outer Senshi-Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru, who has been reborn as a child. In the second part, Usagi says goodbye to Mamoru as he leaves for America to study. Around the same time, a new idol group called the Three Lights-Seiya, Taiki, and Yaten-makes their debut. The main antagonist this time is Galaxia, a woman bent on ruling the galaxy by stealing the Star Seeds of humans. Three new warriors, the Sailor Starlights, join the fight, determined to stop Galaxia on their own-without Sailor Moon's aid.
