Yukari Morita sets out to find her father, who vanished somewhere in the South Seas. For a high school girl traveling alone, just reaching the Solomon Islands is a daunting journey. But her search takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with an astronaut from the Solomon Space Association, a group struggling to build a rocket strong enough to send a person into space. When the SSA’s director, Nasuda, meets Yukari, he notices her small frame-she’s light enough to ride in a less powerful rocket they’ve already built. He proposes a deal: if she agrees to become their astronaut, the SSA will help track down her missing father. Now Yukari faces a choice-does she have what it takes to embark on this unlikely mission to space?
