Tokaku Azuma transfers to Myoujou Academy, an exclusive girls' boarding school, only to learn there’s a deadly twist. She and the other 11 students in Class Black are assassins tasked with killing their kindhearted classmate, Haru Ichinose. The one who succeeds will have their greatest wish granted, no matter how impossible. But failure means expulsion-each assassin gets only one attempt. Despite the tempting prize, Tokaku chooses a different path. Though Haru is her target, she unexpectedly grows attached to the girl she’s supposed to eliminate. As the rest of the class hunts Haru down, Tokaku resolves to shield her from their deadly intentions, defying the bloodshed closing in around them.
