Revolutionary Girl Utena

Long ago, a young princess lost both her parents in a tragic event, leaving her heartbroken. A passing prince visited her, hoping to ease her grief. After drying her tears, he gave her a ring with a rose emblem, promising they would meet again if she kept it. This moment stayed with the girl, Utena Tenjou, inspiring her to become a prince herself. Years later, Utena arrives at Ootori Academy, where she spots the same rose emblem from her ring. Drawn by the scent of roses, she sees Anthy Himemiya tending to the flowers while Student Council President Touga Kiryuu and Vice President Kyouichi Saionji argue over her. Though Utena pays it little mind, the Student Council soon convenes for an important discussion. A misunderstanding pulls Utena into the world of the Duelists-fighters who wear rings like hers. They compete for control of the "Rose Bride," Anthy, rumored to hold immense power. Determined to live up to her princely ideals and angered by Anthy's mistreatment, Utena vows to challenge the Duelists and free her from this cruel fate.
