Revenger - S01

After being deceived into killing his future father-in-law, the honorable samurai Raizou Kurima is consumed by guilt. Determined to restore his name, he vows revenge on the lord who manipulated him. His quest leads him to Yuuen Usui, who claims to be a simple merchant but is actually part of the Revengers-a shadowy group of assassins who exact vengeance for the oppressed. As Raizou aligns himself with the Revengers, tragedy seems inevitable. While aiding their vigilante missions, he uncovers a tangled network of corruption linking Japan's ruling class and ruthless European opportunists. The deeper he delves, the more he questions whether justice-or the honor he hoped to reclaim-is anything more than an illusion.
