Record of Grancrest War

The continent of Atlatan is plunged back into war after the Great Hall Tragedy, a catastrophic event that shattered hopes for peace. The wedding of Sir Alexis Douse and Lady Marrine Kreische, meant to unite the Fantasia Union and the Factory Alliance, turned deadly when "Chaos"-a corrupting dark energy from another dimension-erupted during the ceremony. From the Chaos emerged the Demon Lord of Diabolos, who slaughtered the archdukes of both factions, leaving the land in turmoil. Siluca Meletes, a mage from the Alliance, failed to stop the tragedy and now travels through the Chaos-ridden countryside to study under a master magician. When Federation soldiers ambush her, she is saved by Theo Cornaro, a young warrior marked by a mystical "Crest" that can repel Chaos. Theo, unaffiliated with any faction, dreams of becoming a Lord to free his hometown, Sistina, from both its oppressive ruler and the creeping Chaos. Recognizing his noble cause, Siluca forms a magical pact with Theo, and together they set out to bring order to their fractured world.
