On a calm, ordinary day, the sky tears open as otherworldly creatures called the Unknown launch a sudden and devastating assault on humanity. To safeguard the next generation, Japan places all its children into cryogenic sleep until the war ends, shielding them from the conflict. Years later, humanity has secured a fragile hold in a small part of Japan, now the war's frontline. With extinction no longer imminent, the children are awakened-only to find they’ve developed "Worlds," unique supernatural abilities formed during their frozen slumber. The six most powerful among them are tasked with leading the reclaimed cities, using their powers to defend against the Unknown. Ichiya Suzaku and Canaria Utara command Tokyo, siblings Kasumi and Asuha Chigusa oversee Chiba, and Maihime Tenkawa and Hotaru Rindou protect Kanagawa. As the Unknown's attacks become routine, tensions rise between the city leaders. Their clashing personalities fuel petty rivalries, sparking constant squabbles among the three strongholds. But when the Unknown intensify their assault, the leaders must set aside their differences and unite-or risk losing humanity’s final defense.
