Princess Arete

Princess Arete is trapped in her father’s castle tower, spending her days gazing at the world beyond her window. She often watches the ordinary people below, going about their lives. Meanwhile, the kingdom’s knights vie for her hand in marriage-and the right to rule-by hunting for ancient magical artifacts left behind by a vanished race of sorcerers. But Arete has no interest in their games. She dreams of escaping to meet the common folk and explore the distant lands she’s only read about in the books hidden beneath her bed. Then one day, the sorcerer Boax appears in a strange flying machine, offering to make her his bride and turn her into a "proper" princess.
