Police in a Pod

After high school, Mai Kawai was determined to land a steady job so she wouldn’t end up like her father. But after failing nearly every civil service exam she took, her only option was a police academy-a path she accepted reluctantly. Now a full-fledged officer, Mai still faces a harsh world. Strangers constantly criticize her just for wearing the uniform. Exhausted by the hostility, she decides to quit after only a few months on the job. That same day, she crosses paths with Seiko Fuji, a former star investigator assigned as her new mentor. Intrigued by Seiko, Mai hesitates to leave and decides to give her thankless job another shot.
