Pokémon Origins

Pokémon are incredible creatures with countless types, sizes, abilities, and personalities. Dr. Yukinari Ookido has spent his life researching these beings, which can be caught, trained, traded, and battled. But he can only do so much from his lab, so he gives two boys their own Pokémon and a digital encyclopedia to record their findings. One, Green, is bold, eager, and a little cocky-also the doctor’s nephew. The other, Red, shares Green’s passion but approaches the world with wide-eyed curiosity. Pokémon: The Origin follows Red as he travels through Kanto, trying to complete his Pokédex by documenting every Pokémon. Along the way, he learns there’s more to his journey-and himself-than he first realized. To prove himself, he must challenge Gym Leaders, each a stepping stone toward the Pokémon League, where he aims to face the Elite Four and become Champion. But Red’s path isn’t just about glory. Dangerous groups like Team Rocket exploit Pokémon for their own ends, and rival trainers-including Green-stand in his way. If Red can overcome these obstacles, he might not only achieve his dream but also fulfill Dr. Ookido’s vision.
