After Musashi saves Michiru Saruwatari from a demon, his friend Kojirou Kanemaki learns that his father was part of the Uesugi clan. Wanting to uncover more about his heritage, Kojirou and his fellow Kanemaki clansmen join the Uesugi's campaign against Yamata no Orochi-the eight-headed dragon demon lord of Awaji Island, whose reign threatens to consume the land. But when Musashi allies with the Uesugi forces, he struggles in battle against the overwhelming might of the demons. Frustrated by his own weakness and inability to fight alongside others, he must adapt and learn to rely on his new comrades. At the same time, the Obsidian Eight-a group hunting the Obsidian Goddess hidden within Musashi-renews its pursuit, aiming to disrupt the island operation. With tensions rising and factions scheming to claim the Obsidian Goddess, Musashi and his allies must unravel the plots surrounding them before it's too late.
