Nyaight of the Living Cat - S01

In the 21st century, humanity’s obsession with cats reached such heights that nearly every household kept one as a pet. But when selective breeding produces a cat carrying a bizarre virus, disaster strikes. Dubbed the "Nyandemic," the outbreak transforms any human who touches an infected feline into a cat themselves. Kunagi, a man with no memory of his past, escapes mid-shift from a cat cafe alongside its owners, Gaku and Kaoru, and a customer named Tanishi. Gaku reveals he’s already infected and begs Kunagi to protect his sister. After facing the danger firsthand, the remaining trio sets out to survive the creatures they once adored. Despite the government’s attempts to stop the swarms of cats, the Nyandemic spreads unchecked. Humanity teeters on the brink of extinction-but Kunagi, Kaoru, and Tanishi aren’t ready to give up their humanity without a fight.
