Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea

Long ago, humans lived under the sea, but some chose to leave and settle on the surface. As a result, they lost their divine gift, the "Ena," which let them breathe underwater. Over the years, the divide between the sea and surface people grew, though they still maintained some contact. "Nagi no Asu kara" follows Hikari Sakishima, Manaka Mukaido, and their childhood friends Chisaki Hiradaira and Kaname Isaki as they leave their underwater home to attend school on the surface. There, they meet Tsumugu Kihara, a surface-dwelling student and fisherman with a deep love for the sea. As Hikari and his friends adjust to life above the waves, they face the deep-rooted hostility between the two worlds, personal struggles, and the looming threat of a catastrophic storm that could destroy the surface. Their lives are forever changed as they navigate these challenges.
