Mobile Suit Victory Gundam

In the year 153 of the Universal Century, the oppressive Zanscare Empire has seized control of Side 2, a space colony orbiting Earth. Like the fallen Principality of Zeon and the short-lived Crossbone Vanguard before them, Zanscare rules with brutality, using a massive guillotine to carry out public executions. Üso Ewin, a space immigrant living in Central Europe, joins the League Militaire, a civilian militia fed up with the Earth Federation’s failure to oppose Zanscare. When Üso’s hidden potential as a Newtype-a psychic with enhanced abilities-awakens, he becomes the pilot of the Victory Gundam, the only mobile suit powerful enough to stand against Zanscare’s elite BESPA forces. With his best friend Shakti Kareen by his side and his parents somewhere within the Federation’s ranks, Üso fights in the Victory Gundam, determined to end the empire’s tyranny.
