In Universal Century 0088, the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) has won its war against the Earth Federation's Titans, though the victory came at a heavy cost. Meanwhile, Neo-Zeon-formerly known as Axis Zeon-remains a formidable force under the leadership of Newtype Haman Karn, who is advancing plans to seize control of Earth and the space colonies. The AEUG's flagship, the Argama, arrives at the Side 1 colony Shangri-La for repairs. There, 14-year-old Judau Ashta scrapes by as a junk dealer, trying to earn enough to support his younger sister's education. When he and his friends stumble upon an escape pod holding a former Titans pilot, they see an opportunity-stealing a mobile suit from the Argama could make them rich. But their plans are upended when a Neo-Zeon ship appears, intent on destroying the Argama. Suddenly, Judau and his friends find themselves caught in a conflict that will take them from the colonies to Earth and beyond.
