Several months after a probe returning from Mars disintegrates in Earth's atmosphere, bizarre creatures called "Ancients" start appearing across Tokyo. Violent and deadly, these monsters prove invulnerable to conventional weapons. While scientists scramble to understand their sudden emergence, the creatures spread chaos worldwide. Humanity's last hope lies in the MARS suit-a specialized weapon designed to fight the Ancients. But only individuals with rare DNA can operate it. Takeru Hinata, a troubled teenager with no extraordinary background, turns out to be one of the few able to pilot this crucial weapon.
