Mega Man: Upon a Star

Mega Man: Upon a Star - S01

In this anime (specifically Episode 2),Rockman leaves the game world and enters the real world to explore cultural differences in Japan. This was meant to be a special episode for the original Ruby-Spears "Mega Man" cartoon series, which aired in the US around 1995. The special was completed before Ruby-Spears redesigned the entire show to better appeal to American audiences. Because it no longer matched the new style, it was never included in the series. Later, two more episodes with the same story were produced, this time under the title "Rockman" (unlike Episode 2, where he's called Mega Man, even in the Japanese dub). It's unclear whether these three episodes were officially released until 2002, when Capcom of Japan reissued them on DVD for Rockman's 15th anniversary. The DVDs included both Japanese and English dubs but no subtitles. There’s no confirmation of any other hidden animated works based on the original Rockman game series.
