Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari - S01

Hyouma Kunato has grown more at ease with Botan Nagatsuki and her family of tsukumogami-objects inhabited by spirits known as marebito-but he hasn’t lost sight of his lifelong pursuit: vengeance. While Hyouma trains in Kyoto under the Kadomori family, the Bureau of Traditional Music, a group of three musical instrument tsukumogami, quietly sets its plans into motion. They confront Botan’s family, probing their motives for allowing Hyouma to stay close to the person who stands at the boundary between the human and marebito worlds. Before long, the paper umbrella tsukumogami Hyouma has been chasing for years resurfaces, kidnapping Botan and her university friends. Now, racing to rescue the person he vowed to protect, Hyouma may have to reconsider his priorities if he hopes to keep his promise to Botan.
