As the Love Live! competition ends, Kanon Shibuya prepares to study abroad, saying goodbye to her friends and fellow members of the idol group Liella!. Though they'll be separated by distance, Kanon and the group stay determined to keep pursuing their dreams. But Kanon's plans are unexpectedly disrupted when Wien Margarete's parents ask her to stay in Japan for another year to mentor their daughter. Stuck in an awkward situation, Kanon hesitates, while Wien struggles to join Liella!-her former rivals-and instead decides to form her own group. Not wanting Wien's efforts to be in vain, Kanon agrees to help, bringing along Tomari Onitsuka, the sister of a former Liella! member. As this new group works to move past Wien's troubled reputation, Liella! must also face the challenge of moving forward without their beloved center.
